CANAVALAVA 2026 Participants Wanted

– Masqueraders Wanted Eligibility –

We welcome people who:
Want to participate and have fun together
Are joining from outside Kochi Prefecture
Wish to join as a parent and child
Are first-time participants
Can act responsibly as part of a team

❗ Please note: Anyone whose clothing, speech, or behavior is deemed inappropriate for the team may be refused participation.
📍 In-person practice locations: Kochi and Tokyo

■Festival Performance Dates

2026
August 10 (Sun)
August 11 (Mon)

You may participate on just one day if you prefer.

■Number of Participants

First 100 applicants
Participation categories:

Dancers
Band members
Lantern carriers (for those who prefer not to dance)
Registration closes once capacity is reached.

■Participation Fee (New applicants: ages 5–55)

Adults (19+): ¥47,000
Children (18 and under): ¥40,000

⚠️ Registration closes when capacity is reached.

⚠️ Costumes are available for participants 140 cm and taller.
Those under 140 cm will wear Kids costumes. All costumes are free size; adjustments must be made individually.

🚨 Payment deadline: Within 14 days of application
🚨 Standard registration deadline: End of June
Applications after July 1 will be ¥50,000+ (tax included)
🚨 Early-bird applicants who choose the “Special” costume must add ¥11,000

・In-person practice begins mid-June (Tokyo & Kochi)

・Practice schedules and updates will be shared in the participants’ group chat.
